Every member of the U.Porto’s community can be a mentor as long as they have the proven skillset and experience to support entrepreneurial projects in one of different ways: scientifically, technically or technologically, of from an organizational or market perspective;

The Mentor’s Network is a free service which puts U.Porto community members in contact with startups and spin-offs, due to their interested in supporting these entities.
The University of Porto doesn’t certificate, nor is responsible for the content and information supplied by mentors, companies or entrepreneurs and neither does it take part in agreements these parties may reach between themselves.

Established from U.Porto’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, our mentor’s network aims to connect experts’ skills with our startups and spin-offs’ needs.
The mentor’s network, always close to the entrepreneurs and the market, exists to support the development of their business model.

The role of our mentors is pivotal for the enrichment of the University of Porto’s innovation and entrepreneur ecosystem.
The mentors will help companies consolidate their business model, opening up contacts with potential partners, suppliers, clients and investors.
This relationship between projects and mentors enhances the development of market related, technical, scientific and technological skills.

One of our mentors seeks to support projects within his/her area of expertise, through:
• Guidance, which can be scientific, technical or technological, as well as market related or organizational, in nature;
• Promotion of initiatives that can grant access to networking opportunities, such as meetings, presentations and similar events;
• Access to new insight, project configurations and applications due to the mentor’s expertise;
• Assistance and participation in activities that can provide key resources, funding and talent;
• Mobilization and participation in the raising of material, financial resources and attracting new talent.
