It is the University of Porto’s business idea competition. This initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage entrepreneurship and the creation of new companies based on knowledge exploration and innovation processes.
Students from any level of study, professors, researchers, staff members, and alumni of the University of Porto are welcome to participate.
It is already viewed as one of the most prominent entrepreneurship initiatives in Portugal, awarding €25,000 in prizes in each edition. Over the course of its 10 editions, iUP25k has recognized more than 40 ideas and awarded a total of €250,000.

This is an ideation program designed to explore the potential of existing knowledge within the university and to initiate the validation and development of innovative, technology-based ideas. It began in 2022 and has since supported a total of 34 ideas involving over one hundred participants.

This is the University of Porto’s acceleration program that helps research teams turn projects into businesses. The goal is to structure and validate ideas in order to develop innovative business models with market potential and regional impact.
BIP Acceleration started in 2022. Over three editions, more than 30 ideas have been submitted, involving over one hundred people. A total of €27,000 has been awarded across nine winning ideas since the program’s launch.
