Smartex is a startup that is engineering a solution to help textile manufacturers improve production yields, by reducing defective output to close to 0% and providing quality control software. At the moment, product inspection is mainly done by workers looking at textiles, all day long. Who even does that?!
Our product consists on a fault detection system that can be easily plugged into Circular Knitting Machines, collect images from output fabric, analyzed by an AI algorithm, and stopping it if a cyclic fault is detected. Smartex's device stores data in the Cloud, providing an overview of the production plant through a web and mobile app, anytime, anywhere.

Job functions:
- Implement state-of-the-art AI (Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition) algorithms to solve real-world industry problems
- Transfer the knowledge and ability necessary to maintain the solution
- Collaborate with the engineering team to move models into production
Profile and skillset:
- MSc in Computer Science OR Data Science OR Mathematics OR Physics OR related areas
- Proven professional experience in deploying Machine Learning for vision applications, especially with the following technologies: Python, Tensorflow, keras,
- Fluency in English
- Ability to travel
- Good communication and management skills
- Goal-oriented mindset
