Health Venture Lab (HVL) is an intensive, healthcare-focused accelerator that helps aspiring individuals and teams advance their innovative ventures through an extended period of coaching and training. It provides participants with the academic, business and industrial expertise they need to improve all aspects of their businesses. Participants also have the chance to build a strong international network by becoming a member of a Europewide start-up community.

Cooperation between startups and large companies such as GE provides unique opportunity to promote European innovation. Health Venture Lab is a unique, healthcare focused accelerator program, designed for supporting the professional growth of ventures created for healthcare solutions!

Who can apply?

Healthcare startups, who have or are close to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Companies have to be registered in a European country or be able to show that registration process is ongoing and will be finished during the program. The program is aimed at the founders (or senior decision-makers) of the startup.

Teams have to have a Minimum Viable Product, or be able to demonstrate that they will be able to develop their working prototype to an MVP during the first two month of the program.

Program

The programme will offer a six-month-long acceleration for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset who want to develop their personal and team business competencies and explore and develop their health-related business ideas. HVL offers weekly training sessions, coaching and a Europewide network (EIT Health and RIS countries), through which start-ups can reach out to crucial partners.

Each monthly workshop consists of a teaching session with thematic presentations on hard-to-attain knowledge, including Regulations in the Healthcare Sector, Health Data Protection and Early-Stage Financing. These are provided by our expert coaches and through intensive one-on-one coaching sessions with business coaches who are experienced in building a company.

Participants will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to develop the strategic, organisational, networking and financial basis of a growth-oriented firm.

Costs:

There are no registration fees for HVL.

Travel costs will be partially funded by the organisation.
