Once a brilliant idea is discovered and shaped, the EIT Health Validation Lab provides you with the right tools and structure you need to bring this idea to the market. This programme helps participants to explore and validate their ideas and business model. The goal is to find the product-market fit and to launch in markets all over Europe. The programme combines a proven concept of the tech incubator YES!Delft with the excellent European network of EIT Health.

Who should apply?

This programme is open to master's students, graduates, scientists and medical professionals with a MedTech idea and the ambition to start a company (if they have not done so already) and become entrepreneurs.

Programme

This program acts as an 8-week pressure cooker, where early-stage start-ups are brought together to validate their business ideas and find their Product-Market fit within the medical field:

  • Week 1 to 5 is spent at YES!Delft, a leading tech incubator in Delft, Netherlands, where participants are going to be involved in workshops, Peer2Peer Coaching, mentoring, expert talks, excursions to hospitals and networking;
  • In week 6 and 7, the teams will go on a roadtrip to Denmark, Germany, and Spain to learn more about healthcare systems and to explore markets in other countries. During the roadtrip, teams will validate their assumptions about their businesses in other European countries;
  • The final event will take place in the final week. Where the teams will pitch the progress of the start-up to an audience of start-ups, mentors, experts, potential customers, and investors. The result will be a solid foundation for their product’s market fit and a validated business plan.

One start-up will win a ticket to pitch their start-up at EIT Health Global Summit.

Each team gets a maximum of 10 000 euros to cover travel, housing, and expenses to live during the program.
