The Summer School in Mobility and Active Ageing (McTivAging) aims to train professionals to design, develop, and implement solutions to help older people with, or at risk of, reduced mobility, to carry out their daily activities. The solutions should support patients, promoting their health and functional independence.
Who should apply?
Holders of a higher education degree, or legal equivalent, in life sciences, health, engineering, environment, social sciences, and humanities, or similar. Professionals with experience in services provision (home or community) or in the definition/implementation of policies/plans (at a local, regional or national level) to promote mobility and active ageing.
Programme
The course is divided into two phases:
- Digital course in an Online Platform with tutoring (1-12 July) that aims to train learners from different professional fields, to screen for frailty, falls and mobility limitations in older adults and other adults with clinical conditions and to select the best strategies/interventions to improve mobility and active ageing
- Classroom course with mentoring (18-27 July) that aims to empower learners by providing them the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to participate in research-related decision-making and to contribute with solutions to social challenges.

The course will cover:
- Course materials
- 11-night accommodation on a sharing basis (Check-in on 17 July 2019, Wednesday & check-out on 28 July 2019, Sunday)
- Transportation between accommodation and course venue (18-27 July)
- Meals within the course period (18-27 July)
