During the euVENTION Summer School programme, multidisciplinary teams of students will develop ideas into business models that can address challenges given by industry partners, academia, non-profit organisations or the participants themselves. These innovations aim to improve the prevention and treatment options for people who are at risk or suffer from chronic diseases.
euVENTION will guide participants through the whole process of product or service development, from the theoretical challenges to business development and creating the prototype. The experts will ensure that the participants can create a viable and desired product or service.
Who should apply?
The euVENTION Summer School was designed for PhD students. However, all dedicated master students, young professionals, or motivated individuals are welcome to apply since multi-disciplinary teams can come up with the best and most innovative solutions. Participants with a background from medicine, life science, social sciences, humanities, IT, business, science, communication and design are invited to apply.
Participants should present a minimum B2 English level.
Programme
euVENTION Summer School is a two-week program, which uniquely covers all steps and tools to create a start-up. Participants in this Summer School are expected to come up with healthcare solutions using co-creation, design thinking, rapid prototyping and business modelling. Participants will be prepared for this activity through inspirational lectures about the basic background of innovation to address chronic diseases. Guided working groups will help students develop their innovation skills and their solution. Participants co-design, validate and test ideas at each stage, with all persons concerned. By the end of euVENTION programme, participants will have gone through all phases of a real-world innovation trajectory, and they will have acquired the necessary set of skills and knowledge to start entrepreneurial activities.
Costs
Accommodation is not included. However, the summer school includes free breakfast and lunch.
euVENTION also has scholarships that will cover part of the costs. However, the final amount can only be determined after the admission has taken place. Therefore, please indicate in your registration if you are in need of a travel stipend.
