The Digital Health Venture Forum will happen on 23rd and 24th of May at Porto Business School. This initiative is organized by Tech Tour and the University of Porto (through U.Porto Innovation) and aims to promote innovation and investment in the best technology companies in Europe. Registration for the event is now open.
This two-day event will be full with mentoring, coaching, discussion panels, and prestigious speakers’ interventions sessions. The predominant themes during this event are Prevention and Smart Primary Care; Smarter and Safer Hospitals; Chronic Care and Silver Aging; Health Economics and Digital Technology. The confirmed panel of experts includes Fluxunit - OSRAM Ventures, Gilde Healthcare Partners, Global Core Medical, Joint Polish Investment Fund, McKinsey, M-Ventures, Pathena, Peppermint Venture Partners, Philips, Redalpine Venture Partners, StarFinder Capital Fund, Vesalius Biocapital Partners, among others.
In order to promote new business relationships and to allow the creation of potential partnerships, businesses or new investments, during the event, participants will be able to contact venture capital investors, entrepreneurs, and specialists in different areas. The assurance of visibility and increased likelihood of funding, advice, and connections with VCs, entrepreneurs, and industry experts will be provided by the opportunity given to selected companies by the forum selection committee to pitch on the last day of the event.
In the scope of Porto Digital Health Venture Forum on May 24 from 2 to 6 pm, parallel sessions will also take place at the workshop "Porto4Ageing Ecosystem and Porto Living Lab" organized by the Porto4Ageing Consortium, of which U.Porto is a partner. During this parallel event, pertinent topics such as artificial intelligence applied to health and social care; sharing and reuse of research data; and the ecosystem of Porto4Ageing and Porto Living Lab, will be discussed. As invited speakers are Carlos Ferreira from ISEP-IPP and INESC -TEC and Francisco Nuñes of the University Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Seville, Spain. This workshop will be carried out entirely in Portuguese and the participation is free but subject to compulsory registration.
Digital Health Venture Forum is organized by Tech Tour and University of Porto (through U.Porto Innovation) with Santander Universidades and Out-Bound as main partners. The event will also be supported by Atlantic ADSA e EIT Health European projects, as well as by PATHENA.
